Pros: Excellent clear direction, audio won't take your eyes off of road, color graphics, large type
Cons: Can be a distraction, must be removed from car while parked (people steal these), expensive
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this item to anyone who is driving to, through or has moved to a new area/state, the "direction-impaired", solo drivers or anyone who prefers travel by car.
Review: My husband and I recently moved to a new state from California...the roads are old and confusing. I found it challenging and thus, daunting to find a location outside of my home area. Printing out driving directions wasn't much help, especially ...

Pros: Portable, easy to use.
Cons: Hard drive storage could be troublesome if you drop it.
The Bottom Line: If you want a nice, easy-to-use portable GPS system this is it.
Review: When I bought my new car, I passed on the GPS system from the factory. As the next year wore on, I was regretting it. One option was to purchase the factory system at about $1500 or get an aftermarket unit. With the aftermarket choice, you have to ...

Pros: Fast processor, touchscreen, easy to use, intuitive, flexible configurations. Map data pre-installed in the device.
Cons: Will often lose satellite signal in cities with tall buildings, or in dense forest.
The Bottom Line: Not a lot of products meet my approval. The Garmin 2620 is one of those products that I can recommend to friends, and be sure they'll remain friends.
Review: Considering getting GPS in your next car? Impressed by the system your friend has in his buff new car? Did you know he paid about $2,000 for that option, but you can get almost the same functionality for about $700, and use it in multiple cars and rental ...

Pros: Accurate addresses & routing, excellent touchscreen interface, good software updates, durable.
Cons: Weak power cable shoe, tight traffic cable, can't reprogram road-speed assumptions.
The Bottom Line: YES - I drive 30 properties a day throughout urban and rural Southeast Florida, and work mine to death without mistakes and very few addresses not found.
Review: As a commercial real estate appraiser I *LIVE* on mine, often seeing 30 properties in a day between Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. It is a huge improvement over prior models I've owned - especially the free software updates and overall ...

Pros: Good directions, good maps, good features.
Cons: Minor nuisances in the user interface.
The Bottom Line: The StreetPilot is very useful and a good purchase. It has served me much better than the several GPS devices I used previously.
Review: I have had a StreetPilot 2620 for over four months and have used it to get around unfamiliar cities and to drive from Florida to California. Overall, it has been excellent. Its directions are clear, the display is very flexible (you can change what ...

Pros: Easy to use, accurate, and well worth the money (buy a refurbished unit we did)
Cons: Power connector on back of unit loose and comes out easily
The Bottom Line: Excellent product. Very satisfied with quality of product and the accuracy it provides. Have used it extensively (in town and out of town). I highly recommend the Garmin 2620.
Review: I bought this unit for my wife 6 months ago for Christmas. Never written a review so I hope this is helpful to those reading it. I will do the Con first since it is real short. Cons: I am very computer literate and I just had some initial problems ...

Pros: Everything
Cons: Just remember to remove it from your dash while parked...
The Bottom Line: If you need navigational assistance and can afford the coin, buy it. You will NEVER be lost again.... Period...
Review: I drive approximately 45K miles per year as a salesman in the North East and have been considering purchasing a navigation system for a while now. I tried linking my laptop to a hand-held receiver and using Streets 2002 to navigate to only find that ...

Pros: Easy, convenient, no instructions needed for the basics; accurate maps so far.
Cons: *Really* wants you to go in the direction you're moving; No internal power supply
The Bottom Line: Buy this if you drive a lot!
Review: I'll only talk about some things here I've not seen mentioned or at least emphasized in some of the other reviews here, most of which I think are right on target. I couldn't be home when UPS came for me to sign for it, so I had to pick it up at UPS ...

Pros: The entire US is in the unit. You do not have to constantly download routes.
Cons: The inability to speak the street and route names. No automatic rerouting for traffic/weather.
Review: I purchased the unit in July '04. With exception of a couple of learning routes (going a mile out of my way to get there faster does work), I have nothing but good to say about my 2620. All features work perfectly as the directions explain. I ...

Pros: We LOVE the way it locates all our needs & the ease of use.
Cons: They do need to up date the maps & correct which side of road.
Review: We bought the product to find locations as we travel the USA. We travel in an RV & at the cost of fuel do not need to make mistakes finding a place.Yes, sometimes it does not know it's right from left but a quick visual works for us. Friends have the ...
